Although TRC is volunteer-powered, there are some unavoidable expenses, such as website hosting, email marketing, and all things online. If our readers purchase books through our website, we will make a small commission that we invest in the things mentioned previously. If by the end of the month there is leftover income, we donate it to charities whose values resonate with ours.
No, there isn’t! Our volunteers work as much or as little as they want and choose what department they want to help in. All work is remote, and if you ever need to step back, you are welcome to, no questions asked.
Since TRC is a non-profit organisation, monetary compensation for any work provided will not be possible.
In exchange for feature stories, social media work or any other type of help, TRC offers:
-Free ARCs for any stories and features and/or book club contributions.
-Networking: volunteers will be in direct contact with authors and/or their agents.
-References and recommendation letters.
-Feedback on their pieces.
There are several teams that make this project possible: Social Media, Book Club Coordination, Writers for Q&A and Website and IT maintenance. Depending on your skills and what work you are interested in doing, our coordinators will set you up and introduce you to the rest of the team.
